Lemon 55 formed in Villafranca di Verona, Italy in 2006 with Mattia Bortolato on vocals and guitar, Riccardo Zucconelli on guitar, Enrico Berni on bass, and Federico Perinelli on drums. They released their debut album 'In the Time of a Rhythm' in 2012, the same year their song 'Behind the Luck of the Sky' gained attention.
Their music has a quiet, atmospheric quality that draws from post-rock and folk elements. Songs like 'Fisherman Jack' and 'Goodbye' show their preference for building mood through layered instrumentation rather than traditional rock structures.
After Zucconelli left the band in 2014, the remaining trio continued with albums like '2448' in 2016 and 'Still Waiting for the Storm' in 2022. Their work maintains that same introspective quality heard on tracks such as 'I See You Now' and 'Hey You'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
