Lemon City formed in Los Angeles around 2013, with Emma Phillips on vocals alongside guitarist Jake Stanton, bassist Sam Baker, and drummer Max Cohen. Their debut single 'Love You More' came out in 2015 with Oliver Rio on the track, and it got them some early attention.
Bassist Sam Baker left in 2017, and Sarah Jones joined. The band put out their first album 'City of Love' the next year. Some of their other songs include 'Feel Something' and 'I Never Knew'.
They released a second album called 'Bloom' after that. The group's sound pulls from soul and R&B, with Phillips writing most of the material.
