Lenore formed in São Paulo in the early 1990s, with singer-songwriter Lenine, bassist and producer Bruno Giorgi, and drummer Felipe Cordeiro. Their debut album came out in 1995, introducing what would become their best-known song, "As Outras São Outras."
In 1997, drummer Felipe Cordeiro died suddenly. The band continued with Marcelo Costa taking his place. They released several more albums over the next decade, including "Etc" in 1998, "O Dia Que Faremos Contato" in 2000, and "Uma Noite" in 2003.
Lenore's music drew from Brazilian popular styles along with jazz and rock. Beyond "As Outras São Outras," their catalog includes songs like "Cor do Sangue," "Guerra Ao Ódio," "Já Não Há Ninguém Por Nós," and "Nada Mais Que Você."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
