Lentra

Lentra formed when vocalist Eva van de Poll, guitarist Daan van der Luijt, bassist Coen Massing, and drummer Jelle Roozenbeek came together with an interest in experimental and ambient sounds. Their debut album was called 'Land of Grey and Pink'.

Their song 'Lakitu' became particularly well-known, taking its name from a character in the Mario Kart video game series. The track has a dreamy quality that feels like floating through clouds, and it's often mentioned alongside other songs like 'out of the blue' and 'Daisy'.

Lentra's music doesn't fit neatly into genre categories, which sometimes drew criticism from listeners who preferred more conventional approaches. They kept working with their atmospheric sound regardless, letting the music speak for itself without much concern for fitting expectations.
