Léo Goiano e Rogério

Léo Goiano and Rogério came together performing at local rodeos and festivals in Goiás. Léo Goiano was born Leandro Faria de Góes in Goiânia, while Rogério Barreto came from Pires do Rio. They built an audience playing bars and gatherings before their 2008 album brought wider attention.

That album's title track, "Você Não Manda Em Mim," became their breakthrough. The song's theme of self-reliance connected with listeners and helped establish the duo in Brazilian sertanejo music.

In 2013, Rogério was involved in an altercation with a security guard at a concert that led to his arrest. The incident brought the kind of public attention that often follows artists who reach a certain level of recognition.
