His music kept coming, he put out albums like 'A Malvada' in 2017 and 'Forró do Malvado' in 2018, but so did criticism. In 2018 he was arrested over allegations of inciting violence against a political opponent; the charges were dropped, but the episode stuck to his name.
He plays with a band that includes Anderson dos Santos on zabumba, Marcelo Gomes on triangle, and Cícero do Acordeon on accordion. The sound stays rooted in forró, even as the conversation around him keeps going.
