Leo Minas e Ruan formed in 2013 when friends Leonardo de Oliveira Minas and Ruan de Oliveira started writing and performing together. They work in sertanejo, a Brazilian style with rural roots, mixed with some pop touches.
Their 2015 album 'Maluco de Amor' gave them a hit with the title track. That song and others like 'Bola da Vez' and 'Cachaça Na Veia' have been popular in Brazil. They've put out a few more albums since, including 'Deixa Acontecer' in 2017 and 'Tudo Que Eu Queria' in 2019.
In 2018, another artist accused them of copying a melody. They denied it, and the situation was resolved. Their songs tend to be about love and everyday feelings, delivered with straightforward vocals and guitar work.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
