They put out their first album, Nossa História, in 2002, followed by others like Um Novo Dia in 2005 and Claps Your Hands in 2008.
Their 2008 album Claps Your Hands gave them a wider audience, with the title track becoming a hit. That song, along with another called What You Say, shows their mix of soul, funk, and samba rhythms. In 2009, they had a legal dispute over the ownership of Clap Your Hands, which was eventually resolved in their favor.
They've continued releasing music, with albums like Alma de Festa in 2016 and Nosso Mundo in 2020. The band has been known for energetic live performances and has occasionally drawn attention for supporting social justice causes.
