Leões Libertinos formed in 2009 with Bruna Caram on vocals, Zé Renato on guitar, André Macedo on bass, and Rodrigo Silveira on drums. Their early shows drew mixed reactions, but they kept at it, building a following while working out their sound.
Their debut album 'Pássaro Coração' came out in 2011, followed by 'Liberdade é um Canto' in 2014. The song 'Fuga de Reis' became something of an anthem for them, a ballad about longing and freedom that stuck with listeners.
Their lyrics sometimes got them into trouble. They kept making music anyway, with songs like 'Juliana e o Rapaz Que Não Sabia Amar' and 'Nova Bomba' showing up in their setlists.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
