Leon Jackson was born in Whitburn, Scotland in 1988. He won the fourth season of The X Factor in 2007, becoming the show's first Scottish winner. His debut album 'Right Now' came out the following year.
He released several albums over the next decade, including 'Music for a While' in 2011 and 'The Love Songs' in 2014. One of his songs, 'A Song For You', appears among his most popular tracks.
Jackson has cited Luther Vandross and Donny Hathaway as influences. He's worked with musicians including guitarist Euan McLaughlin, bassist Derek Carmichael, and drummer Scott Spence.
