León Larregui was born in Mexico City in 1973. He co-founded the alternative rock band Zoé in 1997 with Sergio Acosta, Rodrigo Guardiola, and Ángel Mosqueda. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2001.
Zoé's 2003 single 'Brillas' became a major hit, though Larregui later acknowledged he'd taken the lyrics from a poem by Rosario Castellanos.
With Zoé, Larregui released albums including 'Memo Rex Commander y el Corazón Atómico de la Vía Láctea' in 2006 and 'Prográmaton' in 2011. He has also worked on solo material, collaborating with artists like Mon Laferte on 'Rue Vieille Du Temple'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
