Leonardo Chim is a Brazilian singer-songwriter who started putting out music in the early 2000s. His debut album from 2004 was called 'Love, Meu Amor Foi Embora,' which is also the title of one of his well-known songs. Other tracks people know include 'Não Tenho Dinheiro' and 'Meu Amigo Morreu.'
In 2007, he was arrested during a protest against a dam project on the Amazon River. That incident became part of a larger conversation about artists and political activism in Brazil. He kept making music after that, with albums like 'Alma Brasileira' in 2010 and 'Liberdade' in 2015.
His band has included João Santos on drums, Pedro Silva on bass, and Maria Gomes on keyboards and backing vocals. He's also been involved with starting music schools in some communities. The songs 'Aquela Guerra' and 'Novo Bugare (Bugatti)' are part of his catalog too.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
