Letícia Tuí comes from Salvador, Bahia, where she grew up hearing the rhythms of Candomblé ceremonies. She sang with the band Didá in the mid-2000s before going solo around 2010 with an album called 'Vozes de Candomblé.'
Her music draws from those Candomblé traditions, and songs like 'Filha de Oxum' and 'Carcará' reflect that connection. She works with musicians like Diogo Vianna on guitar and Juninho Paulinho on drums.
Later albums include 'Oxum' from 2015 and 'Canto de Oferenda' from 2020. Her recordings keep a focus on the spiritual themes she first encountered in Bahia.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
