Letto formed in Porto Alegre in 2003 with Pedro Lucas on vocals, Rodrigo Filardi and Lee on guitars, Vinicius Callegari on bass, and Shell on drums. Their debut album 'Por Enquanto' came out that same year, mixing alternative rock with Brazilian sounds. The band's song 'A Vida Pede Um Concerto' became particularly well-known.
In 2008, Letto faced a copyright lawsuit over their song 'Simplesmente,' which created some difficulties for them. Their lyrics sometimes touched on social issues, like in 'Asfalto Interminável,' which commented on government handling of social problems.
They kept recording through the years, putting out albums like 'Contracorrente' in 2010 and 'Reconstrução' in 2018. Other songs in their catalog include 'Aeroporto de Pipas,' 'Cardápio,' and 'Placas Cariocas.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
