Levitation Room

Levitation Room formed in 2010 around vocalist Julian Dorio and guitarist Robbie Wulfsohn in Los Angeles. Their early years involved the usual local grind, playing shows and trying to get noticed. They eventually put out a debut album called 'Friends' in 2014, which gave them a wider audience. The title track, along with songs like 'There Are No Words' and 'Warmth Of The Sun,' established their sound, a hazy, guitar-driven style that leaned into dreampop and shoegaze textures.

They kept releasing music after that, with albums like 'Crystal World' in 2016 and 'Third Eye Blind' in 2018. Their work often carried a melancholic, introspective feel, heard in tracks such as 'Loved' and 'Plain To See.' The band's lineup included bassist James Curry and drummer David Taylor, providing the foundation for Dorio's vocals and Wulfsohn's layered guitar work.

In 2021, they released 'Celestial Bodies.' The music maintained that atmospheric quality they were known for, built on steady rhythms and washes of guitar. It was the kind of sound that felt suited for late nights or hazy afternoons, more about mood than grand statements.
