L'haine formed in Japan in 1996. The band included Miyavi on lead vocals and guitar, Yasu on vocals and bass, Izumi on guitar, and Kaoru on drums. They released their first album, 'Dilemma,' in 1997, followed by 'Disillusion' in 1998.
In 2001, they put out the album 'Noir,' which contained the song 'Habanera.' That track became one of their most recognized pieces. Another song, 'Triste Xq Si,' also appears among their notable work.
They continued releasing music through 2007's 'Final Act.'
