A five-piece UK pop act that formed on reality TV and kept shifting its sound through lineup changes.
If you want the pure pop rush, start with 'Just a Little.' For something that shows their later direction, 'Jumpin'' from the 'X' album tells part of that story.
They landed with a number one debut single, 'Just a Little,' which became a definitive UK pop moment in 2001. Their story isn't just about that early hit, though, it's about how a group assembled on TV kept working, putting out albums like 'Thinking It Over' and later shifting toward the electro-pop feel of 2004's 'X.' Even as members came and went, they kept releasing songs that stuck around, from 'Take Me Home' to 'Wanting Me Tonight.'
They came together on the second series of 'Popstars' in 2001 and quickly scored a chart-topper with 'Just a Little.' Tony Lundon left the following year, and by 2004 they were exploring a different sound on the album 'X.' The lineup kept changing, Michelle Heaton and Kelli Young departed in 2007, and Jessica Taylor and Kevin Simm carried on until the group disbanded in 2013.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
