Libido formed in Peru in the early 1990s around vocalist Salim Vera and guitarist Manolo Hidalgo. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1996, and they followed it with records like 'No Voy a Llorar' in 1998 and 'Lo Último Que Haré' in 2001. Their songs often dealt plainly with love and social themes, which connected with listeners even as some critics found their approach too direct.
Tracks like 'Sin Rencor' and 'Tan suave' show their straightforward rock style. They kept recording through the 2000s, putting out albums such as 'Un Día Perfecto' in 2006 and 'Frágil' in 2009. The band's later work includes 'Amarás lo Imperfecto' from 2016.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
