Shad Gregory Moss started rapping as Lil' Bow Wow when he was 13, after Snoop Dogg heard him perform. His first album, 'Beware of Dog,' came out in 2000 with singles like 'Bow Wow (That's My Name)' and 'Bounce With Me.' He followed that with 'Doggy Bag' and 'Unleashed,' keeping up a run of albums aimed at younger listeners.
Some of his songs, like 'Like You' with Ciara and 'Basketball,' found an audience beyond his early teen fanbase. He worked with other artists too, including Ludacris and Omarion, while moving away from the DJ setup he'd used at the beginning.
As he got older, his music changed and he faced some criticism about his lyrics and public image. The pressure of starting so young in hip-hop wasn't always easy to handle.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
