Lil' Romeo was 12 when his song 'Static Shock Theme' became a hit in 2001. That track, written for the animated series, gave him an early foothold in both hip-hop and kids' entertainment. He was already familiar with the music business through his father, Master P, and uncles Silkk the Shocker and C-Murder.
His debut album 'My Baby' came out that same year and landed at number six on the Billboard 200. Other songs like 'My First' and 'Bobblehead' showed his knack for light, catchy rap aimed at a younger audience. He worked with artists like Nick Cannon and 3LW on tracks such as 'Parents Just Don't Understand'.
Romeo kept recording through the 2000s with albums like 'Game Time' and 'Lottery'. His brother Valentino Miller sometimes appeared in his videos. Outside music, he started the Romeo Foundation, which focuses on helping underprivileged youth.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
