Lil Scrappy came up in East Atlanta, where he started rapping as a teenager. His 2004 single 'Money In The Bank' got heavy radio play and became his breakout track, leading to his debut album 'Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live' that same year.
He faced legal trouble in 2006 with marijuana and weapons charges, and again in 2012 with a domestic violence case involving Erica Dixon that resulted in jail time. After a hiatus, he returned with his fifth album 'Made to Last' in 2016.
Other notable tracks include 'No Problem' and 'Gangsta Gangsta,' and he appears on Bow Wow's '4 Corners' alongside Lil Wayne and others. His later albums include 'Prince of the South' and 'Tha Grustle.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
