Lill Cash

Lill Cash formed in 2016 as a duo from São Paulo, with MC Lil (Paulo Eduardo Araújo) and DJ Cash (Fábio Silva). Their debut single 'A Noite Ta da Hora (part. Rota 102)' became a hit in Brazil, mixing funk, rap, and electronic sounds. Other tracks like 'Mina de Fé' and 'Tô Na Pista (part. Chevmous)' followed a similar pattern of catchy melodies and beats that connected with local audiences.

MC Lil grew up in Heliópolis, an impoverished neighborhood, and started rapping at street parties before teaming up with DJ Cash. In 2018, Lil was shot and injured in what was described as a targeted attack, an incident that highlighted the dangers some artists face in Brazil's urban areas.

Their music sometimes drew criticism for lyrics that were accused of being misogynistic or homophobic, though the band members denied these allegations. They continued releasing music that incorporated pop and R&B elements while addressing social issues, with songs like 'Uma Noite de Amor (part. Jhef)' and 'Você Não Está Aqui (part. Defronte)' expanding their reach.
