Lilla Crawford was born in New York City in 1999 and started performing in theater productions when she was five. She made her Broadway debut in 2011 playing the title role in 'Annie.'
Her breakthrough came the following year when she was cast as Little Red Riding Hood in the Broadway revival of 'Into the Woods.' That production's cast recording includes her version of 'I Know Things Now,' which became her most recognized song.
In 2013, Crawford was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She underwent treatment and has since continued performing.
