Lincaut

Lincaut came together in São Paulo in the early 2000s with Rodrigo Lima on vocals, Kaká Silveira on guitar, Marcello Balestra on bass, and Alexandre Ramos on drums. Their 2005 debut 'Acústico MTV' included 'Siga Em Frente,' which became a national hit. The song's straightforward message about moving forward connected with listeners in a way that felt direct rather than grandiose.

After Lima's serious car accident in 2007, the band took time off while he recovered. When they returned, some listeners noticed their sound shifting toward more pop elements. They kept releasing albums like 'Refúgio' in 2007 and 'O Mundo Cai' in 2010, along with songs such as 'América' and 'Erros.'

That original lineup of Lima, Silveira, Balestra, and Ramos has stayed together through the years. They put out 'Acústico BR' in 2020, continuing to work without much fanfare about their place in Brazilian rock history.
