Link Hard formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1996. The band's original lineup included vocalist Claudio Souza, guitarists Rodrigo Pimentel and Roberto Lopes, bassist Ricardo Barbosa, and drummer Alexandre Cunha. They released their debut album 'Sonhei Com VocĂȘ' in 2000, which included the title track that became one of their most recognizable songs.
Their sound drew from heavy metal, punk, and grunge influences. After their debut, they put out several more albums including 'Do Outro Lado' in 2003, 'Liberdade' in 2006, and 'Viva' in 2011. The band developed a dedicated following in Brazil, with fans sometimes calling themselves 'Linkers'.
Over time, the lineup changed. By the time the band was last documented, Souza remained on vocals with Pimentel and Lopes still on guitars, but Lucas Araujo had taken over bass and Carlos de Oliveira was playing drums. They were known for energetic live shows that helped maintain their fanbase through various phases of their career.
