Lírio e Lário

Lírio e Lário were a Brazilian duo from São Paulo who started as street performers. Their songs like 'Quarto de Hotel' and 'Sei Que Te Perdi' became popular in the late 1990s. The pair consisted of Adriano Ferreira, who sang and wrote most of the material, and Wagner Mariano, who played guitar and sang backup.

Their first album, Quarto de Hotel, came out in 1997. They followed it with O Último Samba in 1999 and Deixa o Amor Entrar in 2001. Their lyrics often dealt with ordinary life, relationships, and sometimes social themes, which gave them a straightforward, unpolished quality that connected with listeners.

They worked with other artists occasionally, like on the track 'De Longe Também Se Ama' featuring Leninha. The duo's music stayed grounded in the kind of acoustic, vocal-driven sound they developed early on, without much studio gloss or production fuss.
