Archive material and source history
Lisa Lois is a Dutch singer who first gained attention in 2008 when she won the television talent show Idols. Her version of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' became popular in the Netherlands after that win. She performed that same song at the 2010 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in South Africa.
Her debut album came out in 2009, followed by another called 'Smoke' in 2012. Some of her other songs include 'Cover Up' and 'Breaking Away'. Early in her career, she had a vocal cord issue that required rehabilitation, but she continued singing afterward.
She denied any plagiarism. Beyond that, she's kept a relatively low profile in recent years.
