Little By Little formed in Japan in 1997, with Masahiro Kitano on vocals, Atsushi Sakurai on guitar, Kenji Hayakawa on bass, and Yosuke Saito on drums. Their debut album 'Serenade' came out the following year, establishing a sound built around bittersweet melodies and introspective lyrics.
In 2000, they released 'Fantastic 21,' which included the song 'Kimi Monogatari.' The album showed a more energetic side of the band while keeping their emotional core. They followed it with 'Vitamin' in 2003 and 'Heartbeat' in 2008, both continuing to explore themes of love and self-discovery.
In 2004, guitarist Atsushi Sakurai was diagnosed with Meniere's disease, which affected his hearing and balance. The band kept performing while he adapted to the condition. A few years later, in 2007, 'Kimi Monogatari' was used without permission in a pachinko game, though the situation was eventually resolved.
