Little Jackie formed in 2004 around vocalist and guitarist Damon Whittemore, bassist Ryan Adams, and drummer Adam Gardner. They put out three studio albums: 'The Stoop' in 2006, 'The Sunflower' in 2009, and 'Phonochromatic' in 2011.
Their song 'Cryin' For The Queen' from that first album became a notable track for them. Other songs in their catalog include 'Take Back The World', '28 Butts', 'Black Barbie', and 'Fairy Tale Ending'.
In 2006, Whittemore was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, which led to some canceled tours. The band's lyrics and album artwork sometimes stirred conversation among listeners.
