Little Texas

Little Texas formed in 1988 with Duane Propes, Porter Howell, Del Gray, and Dwayne O'Brien. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1991, and songs like 'First Time For Everything' got them noticed. They kept putting out records through the 1990s, including 'Kick a Little' in 1993 and 'Big Time' the following year.

Their song 'My Love' became a country radio staple, the kind of track that still gets played. They had other hits like 'Amy's Back In Austin' that fit the same mold, straightforward, melodic country with clean harmonies. The band's lineup changed when Propes left in 1999 and Chris Cummings came in.

They released an album called 'Songs for the Mission Field' in 2001, which leaned into spiritual themes. That record drew some criticism, though the details are hazy now. The group kept going, playing shows and working with the material they'd built in the '90s.
