Little Tybee formed in Athens, Georgia around 2010, led by vocalist and songwriter Brock Scott. Their first album, "For Distant Shores," came out in 2011, followed by "The Old Haunt" in 2013. The band's sound has been described as indie folk with touches of Americana and pop.
In 2015, they released the single "More Like Jason," which got some alternative radio play and introduced them to more listeners. The song's melody and Scott's lyrics seemed to connect with people.
Scott has been open about dealing with anxiety and depression, which led to some cancelled tour dates in 2017. Their 2019 album "Swimming in the Sun" touched on those personal themes. In 2020, guitarist Cameron Jones faced sexual misconduct accusations.
