Litto Lins

Litto Lins came up in Fortaleza, Ceará, where he grew up hearing forró and sertanejo. He started writing and singing his own material early on, drawing from those regional sounds. His 1998 album 'Forró do Sol' got people talking, partly because of the suggestive lyrics on tracks like 'Love Proibido,' a duet with Gleydson Gavião that became a hit.

That song, along with others like '200% de Saudade' and 'Chutar o Balde,' helped build his audience despite some criticism over his style and content. He kept putting out records through the 2000s, including 'Amor de Verdade' in 2000 and a self-titled album in 2008. The music mixed Brazilian rhythms with pop touches and straightforward, sometimes personal lyrics.

He worked with a few notable names along the way, including Gilberto Gil and Dominguinhos. Those collaborations brought different textures to his recordings, though he stayed rooted in the sounds he came up with.
