Live Report formed in 1997 with Ed Kowalczyk on vocals, Chad Taylor on guitar, Patrick Dahlheimer on bass, and Dan Pred on drums. They released their second album, 'Mental Jewelry,' in 1999, which included the song 'Why Do I Always Get It Wrong?'
In 2003, Kowalczyk was diagnosed with a vocal cord polyp, which led to a tour cancellation. The band later parted ways with drummer Dan Pred and recruited Chad Gracey as their new drummer. They went on to release albums like 'Throwing Copper' in 1994 and 'Awake' in 2004.
