Their version of "Blue Suede Shoes" became their breakout hit, with Richards' vocals and the song's rhythm defining their early appeal.
After their initial success, the band faced internal problems. Carter was arrested for drug possession in 1986 and was fired, which changed their sound since he had been central to their songwriting and guitar work. They kept recording through the late '80s, putting out albums like "Electric Blue" in 1986 and "Wild at Heart" in 1988.
Their catalog includes songs like "315," "Breakdown," and "Downtown City Blues." They released a greatest hits collection in 1990. The band's recordings have remained in circulation since then.
