Lizer

Lizer formed in Moscow in 2015 with Denis Krasnov on vocals, Daniil Butuzov on guitar, and Vladislav Rudenko on bass. They worked in a space between pop, indie, and electronic sounds, though their approach sometimes drew criticism from more traditional listeners.

Their track "Mezhdu Nami" came out in 2017 and found an audience beyond what they'd had before. The song's melody and lyrics connected with people in a way that earlier material hadn't, and it became their most recognizable work.

Krasnov's direct manner and the band's visual style attracted attention that wasn't always positive, with some protests at their shows. They kept performing and recording through that period, putting out songs like "лейм эсс" alongside their better-known material.
