Lizzy Borden

Lizzy Borden came out of Los Angeles in the 1980s heavy metal scene. Their music had that relentless intensity and powerful guitar work you'd expect, but they also worked with some darker lyrical territory. Songs like 'Den of Thieves' and 'American Metal' showed how they could balance aggression with more thoughtful themes.

Over time they put out records like Love You to Pieces in 1985, Terror Rising in 1987, and Master of Disguise in 1989. The lineup has shifted around, but Lizzy Borden himself has always been the vocalist and namesake. They kept recording through the 2000s with albums like Deal with the Devil and My Midnight Things in 2018.

There were some controversies along the way, mostly around accusations of Satanism that Borden denied. But they kept playing their version of metal without much compromise. Tracks like 'Me Against The World' and 'Warfare' maintained that same confrontational energy years later.
