Lobisomem formed in São Paulo in 1989. The band's name means 'werewolf' in Portuguese. Their core members were Kiko Dinucci on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Lima on bass, and Andria Busic on drums.
Their debut album 'Angústia Existencial' came out in 1991. The 1995 album 'Us Detal' gave them their international breakthrough, with the title track becoming their most recognized song. They also recorded 'Pirado Piradão' and 'Segure o Pum'.
Lobisomem released several more albums including 'Romântico Criminal' in 1999, 'O Silêncio das Sirenes' in 2002, and 'O Limite do Horizonte' in 2008. Their music drew from post-punk and darkwave influences.
