Lokira formed in São Paulo in 1996 with vocalist Fabrício Mazotti, guitarists Bruno Henrique and André Cury, bassist Glauco Felizardo, and drummer Cristiano Passos. Their debut album 'Infinita Tempestade' came out in 1999, featuring the track 'Desejo Leonino' which became a notable song for them.
They released several albums including 'A Divina Comédia' in 2003, 'Epílogo' in 2007, and 'Reino das Sombras' in 2015. The lineup saw some changes over time, with Passos leaving in 2004 and Felizardo departing in 2015, replaced by Fernando Toffoli and Vinicius Andrade respectively.
Their music incorporated elements of progressive and symphonic metal alongside their heavy metal foundation. Other songs like 'Naja' and 'Noite de Festa' appear in their catalog, though the band maintained a relatively stable core with Mazotti, Henrique, and Cury continuing through their releases.
