Lorella Cuccarini was born in Rome in 1965 and studied at the National Academy of Dance. She worked as a dancer and actress on television and in films before joining the Italian band Odiens in 1985.
Her self-titled debut album came out in 1988 and included 'La Notte Vola,' which became a hit in Italy and several other countries. Another song from that period, 'Un Altro Amore No (Non Ti Cambierei),' also appears among her most remembered tracks.
She released eight studio albums in total. Some listeners responded to her energetic stage presence, while others found it too much. Her willingness to speak about social and political topics drew mixed reactions as well.
