Lorena e Rafaela

Lorena e Rafaela are a Brazilian duo from São José do Rio Pardo, formed by Lorena Faria and Rafaela Melo. They started with a 2013 EP called 'Samba de Nós' and put out their self-titled album two years later. That 2015 record included 'Noites Mal Dormidas,' which became their most recognizable song.

Their music pulls from samba, pop, and folk, with Faria on vocals and guitar and Melo on vocals and ukulele. They followed the 2015 album with 'Tempo Suspenso' in 2017 and 'Viver' in 2020. Other tracks like 'Nosso Amor É Ouro' and 'Aleluia' round out their catalog.

Some critics questioned their sound as too mainstream, but they kept working. Their harmonies and straightforward songwriting have stayed consistent through their releases.
