Los Arcanos Del Desierto formed in northern Mexico in the early 2000s with Ramón "Mon" Gómez on guitar and vocals, Jesús "Chuy" López on accordion, Ricardo "Ricky" Gutiérrez on bajo sexto, and Adrián "Adry" Jiménez on drums. They worked with traditional Mexican rhythms, though the early years involved some financial and audience challenges.
In 2007, their debut album "No Sé Que Tiene La Guaracha" gave them a breakthrough. The title track mixed son jarocho and cumbia elements and became their most recognizable song. They followed with another album in 2010 called "El Baile del Diablo," which drew some criticism.
