Los Coming Soon formed in Bogotá, Colombia in the early 2000s with Felipe Holguín on vocals, Mateo París on guitar, Andrés Cortés on bass, and Juan Manuel Daza on drums. Their debut album 'Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride' came out in 2006, and the title track became a hit for them.
In 2010, Daza left the band and was replaced by Daniel Álvarez. Their lyrics sometimes touched on social and political topics, which drew criticism from some quarters. They released several albums including 'El Corredor del Vacío' in 2009, 'El Miedo' in 2012, and 'Alegría' in 2017.
Songs like 'Alcohol' and 'Bombay' show their mix of rock and pop with some Latin rhythms. They kept playing and recording through the 2010s.
