Los Cortés

Los Cortés came together in Guasave, Sinaloa, in the late 1990s, with brothers Joel, Luis, and Fernando Cortés forming the core of the group. Their father, Don Pedro, was an accordionist, and that family connection to music gave them a starting point. They worked through the usual early struggles, playing local events and festivals until they got a record deal and put out their first album, "Unidos para Siempre," in 2001.

Things changed with the single "Confesión." That song connected with listeners and helped push the band beyond their regional base. Other tracks like "Hasta En Las Sombras" and "Me Haces Daño" followed, building out a catalog of straightforward Mexican pop with traditional touches. They recorded live albums and compilations over the next decade, including "En Vivo Desde el Teatro Diana" in 2005 and "Grandes Éxitos" in 2012.
