Los Fugitivos formed in Mexico City in the late 1960s with Guillermo Fesser on vocals and guitar, Enrique Guzmán on bass, Jorge Reyes on drums, and Roberto Zamora on keyboards. Their first album came out in 1970, mixing rock with blues and psychedelic touches.
Their second album in 1971 had the title track "La Loca," which became their biggest hit. The song's story about a woman going mad from love stirred up arguments at the time, with some calling it vulgar and others praising it. They kept playing shows across Mexico and Latin America despite rumors about their lifestyle.
They put out six albums in total, including songs like "Amandote" and "No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti." The band broke up in the early 1980s, but their music still gets played and covered by other artists.
