Los Gali formed in Mexico City in 1993, with brothers Javier and Carlos Sepúlveda and José Manuel "Chema" Arreola. Their self-titled debut came out in 1995, but it was their second album that really connected with people. In 1999, they released an album called "Desintegrándome," and the title track became something of an anthem.
That song, "Desintegrándome," got some attention for its lyrics about alienation and despair. The band kept recording after that, putting out albums like "Fragilidad" in 2002, "Cicatrices" in 2005, and "El Origen" in 2012. Their sound mixed rock with some blues and electronic touches.
