Their sound wasn't just cumbia. You can hear ska and punk in tracks like 'El Subiduki' and 'Los Arquitectos,' and their lyrics often took on social and political topics. This drew some criticism from authorities and conservative groups at the time, though the band kept playing.
They recorded with a lineup that included Alberto Escobar on vocals, Arturo Velasco on guitar, Rafael González on drums, and Eduardo Solórzano on bass. Their earlier albums include 'Somos Garra' from 1990 and 'Estilo Propio' from 1992.
