Los Pipos Ministerio Infantil started in Bogotá, Colombia in 1982, created by musicians and educators who wanted to make music for children about faith. Their song 'Corazón de Niño' came out the following year and became their most recognizable track, along with others like 'Aeróbicos Espirituales' and 'Buen Amigo'.
They put out several albums through the 1980s and 1990s, including 'Cantando a Papá' in 1985 and 'Dios es Amor' in 1995. The group's founding members included Jesús Marrugo on vocals and guitar, Carlos Arturo Baquero on bass, and José Antonio Aguirre on drums.
While some religious figures initially questioned their approach, Los Pipos kept making music aimed at young listeners. Their work has been part of the broader Spanish-language Christian music landscape for decades.
