Los Titanes came together in the Dominican Republic in the early 1990s, with Eddy Herrera, Henry García, and Sergio Vargas as core members. Their sound pulled from merengue, bachata, and pop, and they found their footing with the single "Los Reyes Del Amor." That song, with its romantic lyrics and catchy rhythm, became something of a calling card for them.
They kept at it through the 1990s and 2000s, putting out albums like Titulares and Regresé. Herrera left in 2006 to go solo, but García and Vargas carried on with the band. Songs like "Noche a Noche" and "Adios Amor" kept their sound in circulation, a mix of danceable rhythms and straightforward love songs that worked for their audience.
