Loud7 formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s, a Brazilian rock band with Rodrigo "Rodox" Rodrigues on vocals, Ricardo Bocci on guitar, Glauco Fagundes on bass, and Marcelo "Marcelão" Oliveira on drums. They released their debut album "O Segundo Ato" in 2001, which included the song "Ao Zero." That track became a hit on Brazilian rock radio and helped build their following.

They put out five studio albums between 2001 and 2015, including "A Vida e a Morte de um Herói" in 2004 and "Em Chamas" in 2015. Another song, "Calmaria," appears among their most recognized tracks. The lineup stayed mostly consistent through those years, with Rodox fronting the band and Bocci handling guitar work.

Their music drew from hard rock and grunge influences, and they were known for energetic live shows in Brazil. While some of their lyrics sparked discussion, they maintained a core audience that connected with songs like "Ao Zero."
