En blijf geduldig overal wachten
Totdat het vullisbakkie wordt gebracht
Want vuil is er in elke woning
Ik neem het mee zonder beloning
Aan ied're deur roep ik zo hard ik kan:
"Juffrouw! ... de vullisman!"
Zo'n ratel kan ik niemand hier ontraaien
Want alle vrouwen zijn van liefde vol
Als ik m'n ratel even maar laat draaien
Dan worden zij zo innig en zo dol
Loop ik soms eenzaam langs de straten
En voel ik mij dan zo verlaten
Dan heb ik beet, draai m'n ratel an
"Juffrouw! ... de vullisman!"
'n Burgemeester mochten wij hier eren
Die hield toch o, zo veel van Amsterdam
Maar ach, hij bleek 'm gauw te smeren
Toen er een beter, hoger baantje kwam
Wanneer hij ooit zich in mijn buurt zou wagen
Dan zou ik zeker aan hem vragen:
"Zo'n burgemeesterspak, wat heb j'er an?
Edelachtbare! ... de vullisman!"
Minister Treub heeft d'uitvoer ras verboden
Van menig zaak en dat vind ik patent
Hij maakte wetten die het streng geboodden
Omdat hij best zijn pappenheimers kent!
Toch zijn er mannen die niet graag hun plicht doen
En voor wat zoete winst een oogje dicht doen
Minister Treub, ik bied mijn hulp U an:
"Excellentie! ... de vullisman!"
Zo zoek ik overal mijn vullis
En kwam laatst ergens in Berlijn
Geloof maar niet dat het flauwe kul is
'k Moest bij een zekere Heer Keizer zijn
'k Zei: "Sire, laat de lui maar kletsen
Heeft U nog meer papieren Fetzen
Of wat verdragen, die je schenden kan?
Sire! ... de vullisman!"
